Freesia is a baroque ensemble formed by three musicians specialised in Historically Informed Performance. Like an echo from the past, our programs bring timeless repertoire to a modern audience, showcasing the beauty of centuries-old instruments and styles.

Claudia Velez

Claudia is a Mexican bass and violone player currently based in The Netherlands, she has collaborated with different baroque orchestras and ensembles. Claudia plays since 2021 on a G Violone by Harry Jansen, thanks to Het Muziekinstrumentenfonds.

Tuuli Korte, violin

Violin

Tuuli Korte

Tuuli Korte is an active musician based in Bremen. She has several years of experience combining instrumental and vocal performance. She studied baroque violin at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague and the Hochschule für Künste in Bremen. Her work is especially inspired by the relationship and imitation between the human voice and the violin.

Jeremy Bass

Jeremy not only plays theorbo, but also baroque and romantic guitar, lute  and other historical plucked instruments.

He currently performs with many early music groups in The Netherlands.
